Covid-19: Regulations for travel to Maldives
International travel to the Maldives is allowed. You need to meet the requirements to ensure entry is allowed. Vaccinations and travel rules for vaccinated people
Travelers who present a valid international certificate of complete vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, will have unrestricted access to all regions of the island. Vaccinated residents and work permit holders are exempt from quarantine requirements, but must undergo a COVID-19 test between 5 and 7 days after arrival.
The vaccine must be authorized by the Emergency Use List (EUL) of the World Health Organization or the Maldives Food and Drug Authority. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to departure.
Conditional quarantine
Residents and work permit holders will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. This does not apply to foreign travelers with a tourist or work visa.
It is mandatory to submit medical certificate / proof
Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 96 hours, must be provided upon departure. Instead, travelers can provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19. This will require proof of a positive test result, taken within 60 days prior to departure.
Additional documents required
A 'traveler's health statement' must be completed within 48 hours of departure. Foreign travelers must also provide proof of a confirmed reservation at an approved tourist facility and a confirmed return flight ticket.
