Hong Kong International Airport, also known as Chek Lap Kok Airport and opened on July 2, 1998, is an aero island that serves the urban area of Hong Kong and is one of the busiest in the world. It operates with flights throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminals 1 and 2, open 24 hours a day. An automatic free train (Automated People Mover) travels between the terminals and the SkyPier ferry station from 6:00 am to 1:00 am.

Customer service centers are available on the Departures and Arrivals levels of both terminals, in addition to interactive booths in the Arrivals Halls. There are also volunteers at high-traffic locations to provide assistance and assistance telephones. Tourist information offices in the Arrivals Hall (level 5), from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

The airport is located on Chek Lap Kok island, 34 km (21 miles) to the west of Hong Kong.

Parking services at Hong Kong airport (HKG)

There are two parking lots. Payment can be made at the exit barriers or at the Customer Service Centre. The first 30 minutes of stay are free. More information: Tel +852 2183 4360. Fees

Car Park 1 - Outdoor area for short-term parking.
Car Park 4 - Multi-storey facility with indoor and outdoor zones, for short or long stays. Electric vehicle chargers are available at level 1.

 

Facilities for passengers with special needs

The terminals have ramps, elevators, adapted restrooms, escalators, handrails with audio signs, Braille signage, tactile markers and induction loops for the hearing-impaired. There are wheelchairs for free by previous request from your airline. Besides public transport, there are other options for passengers with reduced mobility. These include taxis (Tel +852 2760 8771), limousines (Tel +852 8106 6616) and buses from Rehabus (Tel +852 8100 8655) and Easy-Access Bus (Tel +852 2772 7301). Car parks have reserved spaces close to the elevators.
