Spending the night at the airport
Quito airport is open 24 hours a day and is pretty quiet outside peak hours, so you can save money by spending the night inside the enclosure instead of going to a hotel. However, it is recommended to have blankets or a sleeping bag and an eyemask for a better rest.
Where to rest: Although there are a lot of seats, most of them are made of metal and have armrests. It is the same thing for the Quito Airport Center, across from the terminal. On the other hand, the floors are carpeted, so that is another option. There are VIP lounges inside the enclosure operating around the clock and offering more amenities, but keep in mind that the maximum stay is 3-5 hours. Finally, you can find a hotel inside the airport grounds, and several alternatives in the surroundings with transfer services.
Baggage: In the Arrivals Hall there is a luggage storage office operating 24 hours a day so your stay is more comfortable.
Eating and drinking: Several options are open throughout the night on both levels.
Restrooms: Showers only inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Access is free.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, commercial stores, children's play area.
Inside the grounds is located the Wyndham Quito Airport (Tel +593 2395 8000). Some alternatives in the surroundings operate shuttle services.
