Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Spending the night at the airportQuito airport is open 24 hours a day and is pretty quiet outside peak hours, so you can save money by spending the night inside the enclosure instead of going to a hotel. However, it is recommended to have blankets, a sleeping bag and an eye mask for better rest.
Where to rest?Although there are a lot of seats, most of them are made of metal and have armrests. It is the same thing for the Quito Airport Center, across from the terminal. On the other hand, the floors are carpeted, so that is another option. There are VIP lounges inside the enclosure operating around the clock and offering more amenities, but keep in mind that the maximum stay is 3-4 hours. Finally, you can find a hotel inside the airport grounds (Wyndham Quito Airport), and several alternatives in the surroundings with transfer services.
Is there a left luggage service? In the Arrivals Hall, there is a luggage storage office operating 24 hours a day so your stay is more comfortable.
Are there places where you can eat and drink at night? There are several options that are open throughout the night on both levels.
Are there stores available around the clock?
Several stores both in the public hall and in the Departures areas stay open 24 hours a day. In addition, the duty-free stores are also open throughout the night.
Are there showers? There are showers and a quiet room (only inside the international VIP lounge).
Is there free Wi-Fi at Quito Airport?Access is free and unlimited.
Do the exchange offices operate 24 hours a day?The currency exchange bureaus are available around the clock, both in the Arrivals Hall and in the International Departures area.
