To rent a car at Mariscal Sucre Airport, you will generally need to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: You must be at least 21 years old. Some companies may apply a "young driver" surcharge for drivers under 25.
  • Driver's license: A valid driver's license from your country of residence is required. Foreign visitors are advised to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their national driver's license.
  • Credit card: A credit card in the name of the primary driver is required to place the security deposit hold (deductible). Debit cards or cash are generally not accepted for this purpose.
