Travelers going to the Galapagos Islands must submit a negative PCR test, taken within 72 hours prior to departure to Galapagos. All travelers must present a return ticket off the island. Foreign travelers must have travel medical insurance. A 'Galapagos traffic control card' must be completed at least 24 hours prior to departure. Travelers must present a valid international certificate for complete vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to departure.
Proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided upon departure.
Those showing symptoms related to COVID-19 will be evaluated by a healthcare worker and can be taken to the nearest health center for a full evaluation. Travelers who test positive will be required to undergo self-isolation for 10 days.
All travelers must complete a traveler's health declaration form upon arrival. This can be completed in advance if the flight information, such as the seat number, is known before the trip.
