Mariscal Sucre International Airport was opened on February 20, 2013, to replace the old city airstation, and thus gain in security and modernity with one of the longest runways in South America. Together with Guayaquil Airport, they concentrate most flights in the country, operating with destinations in the entire continent and Europe.

The parking lot is found within walking distance of the terminal and has security cameras, third party liability insurance and mechanical aid. The first 15 minutes of stay are free of charge.
