Congonhas Airport is open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers to stay overnight inside the terminal if they have an early morning flight. However, due to noise restrictions in the urban area of São Paulo, no takeoffs or landings are permitted between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am, so activity throughout the terminal decreases significantly overnight.

The terminal is not designed for extended stays or overnight rest. Most seating in the public areas features fixed metal armrests, preventing passengers from lying down. Many travelers choose to rest on the floor, particularly in the quieter corners of the upper levels (mezzanine), where foot traffic is lighter and the lighting is dimmer.

Temperature: Bringing a blanket or warm clothing is highly recommended, as the air conditioning is usually kept quite cool throughout the night and the tiled floors can become cold.
