Guangzhou airport (CAN)

Guangzhou Baiyun (or Canton Baiyun) International Airport, opened on 5 August 2004, is one of the most important in China. In addition to domestic flights, it operates international routes to the Far East, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminals 1 and 2, open 24 hours a day and connected by a metro service (6:00 am to 0:00 am) and a shuttle bus (24 hours), both free of charge.

The airport is located 28 km (17 miles) north of the city of Canton (Guangzhou).

You will need to hire a vehicle with a driver if you do not have a Chinese driving licence. At the airport, service counters are located at the following points:

Terminal 1:

Parking services at Guangzhou airport (CAN)

There are eight car parks for short- and long-term stays, open 24 hours a day, all equipped with electric vehicle charging stations. Passenger drop-off and pick-up areas are available in front of the Departures Hall and outside the Arrivals lobby of both terminals. The first 15 minutes of parking are free of charge. Valet parking is available on the south side of car park P3.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Passengers with disabilities are given priority and have access to a dedicated check-in counter. Wheelchairs are available free of charge upon request. The airport also provides accessible toilets, lifts, and reserved parking spaces. Children aged 5 to 12 years travelling unaccompanied will receive assistance through security control, boarding, and during the flight.
