Chiang Mai International Airport, opened in 1921, is one of the busiest in Thailand. In addition to domestic flights, it operates with international destinations in Southeast Asia and the Far East.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Domestic Terminal and International Terminal, open 24 hours a day and located next to each other.

Chiang Mai airport is located 4 km (2.5 miles) to the south of the city centre.

Bus - Lines 4 and 9 travel to the city centre every 20 minutes. There are transportation counters on the upper floor of the terminals, opposite the Arrivals Halls, where you can ask for information regarding schedules and routes.
Taxi - Cabs available outside the terminals. There are counters in the Arrivals Halls where you can pay the fare in advance. A trip to downtown Chiang Mai takes around 10-15 minutes.

An outdoor area for short- and long-term parking is available in front of the terminals. The first 8 minutes of stay are free.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Facilities include elevators, adapted toilets and telephones, and reserved parking spaces. If you should require special assistance, inform your airline about your particular needs in advance. Children between 8 and 11 years old travelling alone will be escorted by the crew from the air company through the different controls.
