Hanoi airport (HAN)

Noi Bai International Airport, opened on January 2, 1978, serves the capital of the country and is the busiest in Vietnam. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Southeast Asia and the Far East, in addition to some locations in Europe and the Middle East.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (domestic flights) and Terminal 2 (international flights), open 24 hours a day. A free shuttle bus links both buildings from 6:00 am to 1:00 am, with a frequency of 10-15 minutes.
Annual passenger traffic: 29.3 million passengers went through it during 2019.

The airport is located 45 km (28 miles) to the north of Hanoi.

Public and private transportation

Bus

Services to Dao Tan, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Quang Trung are available from halls C and E of Terminal 1 and the east and west ends of Terminal 2. Departures correspond with flight hours.
There are also public buses that depart every 15-20 minutes between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm: line 7 to Cau Giay; route 17 to Long Bien; bus 86 to Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Railway Station; line 90 to Kim Ma; 109 to My Dinh; 68 to Ha Dong. Journey time to central Hanoi is around 1 hour.

Taxi

Vehicles available on the Arrivals levels of both terminals. The trip to the city centre takes about 30 minutes.
