Pudong airport (PVG)

Shanghai Pudong International Airport, opened on October 1, 1999, to take over the international traffic previously handled by Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, is the most modern and the third busiest in the country and one of the busiest in Asia. It operates domestic and international flights around the globe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Open 24 hours a day. A shuttle bus service operates between the buildings from 6:00 am to 0:00 am, at 10-minute intervals.

The airport is located 30 km (19 miles) southeast of Shanghai's financial centre.

Short and long stay places are available. The first 20 minutes are free of charge. Prices

P1, P2 - For short stays, opposite the terminals.
P4 - Open air area for longer periods.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Persons requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline of their particular needs before travelling. There are lifts and ramps, adapted toilets and accessible telephones inside the terminals. Electric people movers are available in Terminal 2 from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
