Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, opened on February 26, 1979, serves the capital of the country and the northern parts of the island. It operates with flights within Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Oceania and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminals 1 and 2, open 24 hours a day. The free Skytrain service links the terminals around the clock, with 2-8 minute intervals. There are also courtesy shuttle buses operating every 10-30 min. from 4:40 am to 9:30 pm.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 44.8 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is located 40 km (25 miles) to the west of Taipei, in Taoyuan district.

Ching Bing Auto Leasing (Tel +886 3398 3979, 6:00 am to 0:30 am) operates inside Terminal 1, while in Terminal 2 you can find Avis (Tel +886 3656 5990, 6:00 am to 0:00 am) and Hotai Leasing (Tel +886 3398 3636, 5:00 am to 0:00 am), all of them in the Arrivals area, on the first floor.


Car rental search

P1 & P2 - Located on the east and west side of Terminal 1, respectively.
P3 & P4 - Situated next to Terminal 2.
Cargo area 1 - Opposite the customs office.
Cargo area 2 & 3 - In the cargo station area.


Ground service personnel can assist disabled passengers to move through the airport, transport luggage and go through the security, passport and customs controls. Reserved parking spaces are free for one day. Other facilities include ramps, designated wheelchair lanes, elevators, lowered telephones, electric vehicles for people transfer, adapted restrooms and bus ticket counters for passengers with reduced mobility.
