Transfer to/from - Shanghai Pudong airport (PVG)

Pudong Airport features a state-of-the-art transport infrastructure that efficiently connects it with the city centre, Hongqiao Airport and several neighbouring provinces.

Maglev Train

The Maglev is the high-speed magnetic levitation train linking the airport with Longyang Road station (where you can transfer to metro lines 2, 7 and 16). It is the fastest option, with a journey time of just 8 minutes.

• Timetables: From the airport, services operate from 7:02 am to 9:42 pm. From Longyang Road to the airport, from 6:45 am to 9:40 pm.
• Frequency: Departures every 15 to 20 minutes.
• Location: The station is located in the transport centre connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Metro

Line 2 (green line) crosses the city from east to west, connecting the airport with key locations such as Lujiazui (financial district), People's Square, Jing'an Temple and Hongqiao Airport.

• Timetables: Services from the airport generally operate between 6:00 am and 10:30 pm.
• Frequency: Trains run at intervals of 5 to 10 minutes.
• Note: Some services require a change of train at Guanglan Road station to continue towards the city centre, although direct trains covering the entire route are now available.

Buses

There are several airport bus routes connecting the terminals with different areas of Shanghai. Bus stops are located on the arrivals level of both terminals.

• Line 1: To Hongqiao Transport Hub (Airport and Railway Station).
• Line 2: To City Terminal (Jing'an Temple).
• Line 4: To Hongkou Football Stadium.
• Line 5: To Shanghai Railway Station (North Square).
• Line 7: To Shanghai South Railway Station.
• Line 8: To Nanhui Bus Station.
• Line 9: To Xinzhuang Metro Station.
• Night Line: Begins operating after 11:00 pm until the last flights arrive, serving major stops such as Lujiazui and Hongqiao Station.

In addition, the Long-Distance Bus Centre, located between the terminals, offers frequent road connections to cities in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, including Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Kunshan and Qidong.

Taxis

Taxis are available 24 hours a day and can be found at the official ranks located outside Gate 12 of Terminal 1 and Gate 25 of Terminal 2. The journey to central Shanghai usually takes between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

It is recommended to use only vehicles from the authorised ranks in order to avoid scams. A night surcharge applies to journeys made between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am.
