Transfer to/from - Porto Alegre airport (POA)

Salgado Filho Airport offers several transportation options connecting the terminal with the Porto Alegre metropolitan area and the region's main tourist destinations, such as Gramado and Canela. Services are primarily organized on the arrivals level to facilitate passenger flow.

Ride-Hailing Apps

Uber and 99 operate normally at the airport. Due to local regulations and to improve traffic flow, the designated pickup area for drivers and passengers is clearly marked.

Pickup point: Go to Level 1 (Arrivals) of Terminal 1. The pickup area is across the first roadway, on the central sidewalk. Follow the signs for app-based transportation services.

Metro and Aeromóvel

This is the most efficient option for avoiding urban traffic and reaching the city's historic center. The airport is connected to the metropolitan railway network (Trensurb) by the Aeromóvel, an automated rail-based transportation system.

Connection process:

1. Take the Aeromóvel from the station located on the upper level (Level 2) of Terminal 1, accessible from the check-in area.
2. The ride is free and takes just a few minutes to the Aeroporto metro station.
3. From there, you can board the train toward Mercado station (downtown Porto Alegre) or northbound toward Novo Hamburgo.

Trensurb operates daily between 5:00 am and 11:20 pm. For payment, you can purchase single-ride tickets at the ticket counters or use the TRI transit card.

Regional Buses (Gramado and Canela)

For travelers heading to the Serra Gaúcha, direct services are available from the terminal, eliminating the need to travel to the downtown bus station.

Citral: Offers regular departures to Gramado and Canela. Tickets can be purchased at the company's counter in the arrivals area or directly through its website. Buses depart from the bus parking area on Level 1.

Tourist Transfers: Companies such as Brocker Turismo and Turistur operate shared and private transfer services, with customer service counters permanently available in the arrivals hall.

Taxis

The official taxi service is operated by the Cootaero cooperative. Vehicles are available 24 hours a day and are located on the outside curb at Level 1 (Arrivals).

Estimated travel time: The trip to downtown Porto Alegre usually takes between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Fares can be checked directly at the cooperative's counter before boarding.

Urban Buses (EPTC)

Porto Alegre's public bus network connects the airport with various parts of the city. Bus stops are located on the lower level of the terminal.

• Route T5: Connects the airport with the North Zone and major shopping centers.
• Route T11 / T11.1: Crosses the city via the 3rd Perimetral, connecting the northern and southern areas.
• Route B09 (Iguatemi): Direct route to Shopping Iguatemi and surrounding neighborhoods.
• Routes 705 / 705.2: Connect the airport with industrial areas and the CEASA market.

The use of the TRI transit card is recommended for these services, although cash payments in Brazilian reais are also accepted directly by the driver.
