Spending the night at the airport
Porto Alegre airport operates with many flights that depart in the middle of the night or early in the morning, so it is frequent to see many passengers waiting for their flight departure late at night. The place can be very noisy, so it is recommended to have headphones or earplugs.
Where to rest: Of the main buildings, Terminal 1 is the largest, most modern and most comfortable, and with more amenities. If you have a sleeping bag, you can lay on the floor, but keep in mind that the security staff could ask you to move. The closest accommodations are located 200-300 meters away.
Baggage: Inside Terminal 1 operates a left luggage service which is available 24 hours a day, which means you will be able to forget about your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: In both terminals, you will find alternatives that remain open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: Free access.
