Salgado Filho International Airport (POA) keeps its doors open 24 hours a day. As a modern terminal (renovated by Fraport), it offers a safe and air-conditioned environment to spend the night, although cleaning and maintenance activities are constant during the early morning hours.

Where to rest

Public Areas: Terminal 1 features modern seating, but most have metal armrests that prevent lying down. The third floor (Food Court) is a popular area to wait due to the availability of tables and power outlets, although it can be noisy. If you decide to lie on the floor, try to do so in secluded areas to avoid obstructing the path, as security staff may ask you to move.

24-Hour VIP Lounges: Excellent news for domestic transit passengers is that the Ambaar Club (Domestic) lounge operates 24 hours a day. If you have access (Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or credit card), it is the ideal place to rest on comfortable sofas with enhanced security.

Luggage

To rest without the burden of watching your bags, you can use the Malex luggage storage (lockers) service.

The terminal has dining options open throughout the night. You will find coffee shops and fast-food chains operating 24 hours both in the food court (Floor 3) and in the boarding area.
