Trains

The Airport Line service by Transperth connects the airport with the city centre (Perth Station) in approximately 18 minutes. Airport Central station serves Terminals 1 and 2 via a covered walkway, while for Terminals 3 and 4 the reference station is Redcliffe, connected by a short ride on bus 292.

Trains run every 12 minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes for the rest of the day. The service operates from approximately 5:00 am until midnight. You can pay your fare using a SmartRider card, or more conveniently via the contactless system using your credit or debit card directly at the station validators. Fares are based on a zone system (typically 2 zones for the city centre).

Buses

Several Transperth routes complement access to the airport:

• Route 292: A circular service connecting Redcliffe train station with Terminals 3 and 4, with frequent departures timed to train arrivals.
• Route 37: Connects Airport Central station (T1 and T2) with Oats Street station in Carlisle, passing via Belmont Forum.
• Route 940: Links Redcliffe station with Elizabeth Quay in the city centre, running along Great Eastern Highway.

To obtain a 10% discount on fares, it is recommended to use the SmartRider card, which can be purchased at the Smarte Carte store (ground floor of Terminal 1) or at authorised sales points.

Ride-sharing

Uber and DiDi are authorised to operate at the airport. It is essential to request your vehicle once you have your luggage and are ready to leave. The pick-up point at Terminals 1 and 2 is located in the passenger collection area, while Terminals 3 and 4 have clearly marked dedicated ride-share lanes. A regulatory surcharge of $4.50 applies to all airport pick-ups.

Taxis

Taxis operate 24 hours a day and are available at designated ranks outside all terminals. The main companies are Swan Taxis and Black & White Cabs. The journey to Perth city centre typically takes around 20 minutes. As with ride-sharing services, an airport departure fee of $4.50 is added to the final fare. Drivers may request prepayment for night-time or specific journeys.
