Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport
Ankara airport is always very busy, so it is frequent to see many passengers waiting for their flight departure, even at night and early in the morning. It is recommended to have headphones or earplugs to avoid the noise.
Where to rest: There are not many comfortable spots, so it is best to have a sleeping bag or blankets in case you have to sleep on the floor. On the other hand, there are some VIP lounges inside the terminals that open 24 hours a day, although the maximum stay is usually 4 hours. Finally, there are some hotels nearby.
Baggage: A left-luggage service operates 24 hours a day, so you can forget about your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Several options remain open throughout the night.
Restrooms: Showers available inside some of the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free access.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange offices, secure luggage wrapping, prayer rooms, baby changing facilities.
