Riga International Airport, opened in October 1974, is the largest in Latvia. It operates with international flights to several destinations in Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East.

What services does Riga airport (RIX) facilities include

The airport has currency exchange bureaus (during flight hours), ATMs, fax and copying service, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Inside the terminal, there is also a conference and meeting room. The Primeclass Riga Business Lounge is located on the third floor and opens from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm; the maximum stay is 3 hours and it offers air conditioning, children's area, smoking lounge, drinks, conference facilities, Wi-Fi, TV, refreshments, showers, newspapers and magazines, telephones (access with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €45.00).

Food and Drinks

In the passenger area, there are coffee shops and restaurants on the second floor, while in the public sector there are two restaurants and two cafés.


Duty-free stores in the Departures area, second floor. There are also shops selling accessories, tobacco, liquor, souvenirs, regional products, apparel, sweets, newspapers and magazines, cosmetics, jewellery.


Trolleys available in the car parks. 24-hour left luggage service in Arrivals sector E, on the first level (Tel +371 6766 8253 / 2544 0097). Secure baggage wrapping in the check-in hall, opposite desk 10, from 4:00 am to 0:00 am. Parking services at Riga airport (RIX)

Inside the enclosure, there are three parking areas open around the clock and situated within walking distance from the terminal. Payment can be made at the exit from each lot or inside Arrivals Halls C and E. Fees

P1 - Short-term parking directly in front of the main building. The first 10 minutes have no charge.
P3 & P4 - Spaces for long stays 5-7 minutes away from the terminal. With charging stations for electric vehicles and free transfer by request to and from the main building (Tel +371 2028 3380).


Facilities for passengers with special needs

There are reserved parking spaces, ramps, adapted restrooms, wheelchairs, accessible counters and elevators. Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to contact their airline or travel agency at least 48 hours in advance.
