Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport
Riga airport is modern and open 24 hours a day. The place can get pretty cold at night, so it is recommended to have a sleeping bag or blankets, in addition to headphones or earplugs in case the overhead announcements bother you.
Where to rest: You can find many benches inside the terminal, and even some especially comfortable couches in the retail areas. Airside, the best places are in boarding sectors C and E. On the third floor there is a VIP lounge, although it closes at night. Inside the grounds there is also a hotel.
Baggage: On the first level of the terminal you will find a left-luggage service that operates 24 hours a day so you can leave your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Most commercial stores are situated landside, but there are no options open during the night.
Restrooms: There are showers in the VIP lounge.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care rooms, children's play area, chapel.
