Muscat International Airport, also known as Seeb International Airport and opened on December 23, 1973, is the busiest in Oman. It operates with international flights in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa's Arab countries.

Car rental search

Bus - There are services from Mwasalat (Tel +968 2412 1555) that stop on Sultan Qaboos Highway, outside the airport complex. Journey time to the city centre is 20-25 minutes.
Oman Air first and business class passengers can take advantage of a door-to-door shuttle service to and from the enclosure.

Taxi - Metered vehicles available to all destinations in Muscat and outside the city, including Barka, Al Musana, Nakhal, Sohar, Samail and Izki. Cabs can be booked and pre-paid at the counter located outside the Arrivals area (Tel +968 2434 1297). Travel time to downtown Muscat is approximately 25 minutes.


Car parks are found a short walk away from the terminal building. Payment can be made at automated machines situated at the exit from each lot and attendants are available 24 hours a day to offer assistance. There are lifts and escalators connecting the three levels of the terminal. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should contact their airline before travelling.
