Which are the Vip lounges at Faro airport (FAO) and how to access:

Faro Airport offers comfortable and exclusive spaces for passengers who wish to relax or work before their flight. There are two lounges operated by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, differentiated according to the boarding area (Schengen or Non-Schengen).

ANA Lounge (Schengen)

Location: Schengen departure area, located on the first floor, between the food and beverage outlets and Gate A boarding areas.

Opening Hours: From 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.

Services: Air conditioning, snacks and drinks, a selection of national and international newspapers, television, high-speed Wi-Fi, and relaxation areas. The maximum permitted stay is 3 hours.

Access: Via Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, or Diners Club memberships. Access is also available by paying at the entrance or by making an advance booking through the official website (€30.00).

ANA Lounge (Non-Schengen)

Location: International departures area (flights outside the Schengen Area), after passport control and the Duty Free zone, heading towards Gate B boarding areas.

Opening Hours: From 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Services: Offers the same amenities as the Schengen lounge, including drinks, snacks, newspapers, TV, and Wi-Fi in a relaxed environment before long-haul flights.

Access: Available to Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, and Diners Club members, or via direct payment subject to availability (€30.00).

Finance and Connectivity

The airport has cash machines from various networks located throughout the terminal. Currency exchange services are operated by Unicâmbio, with counters in the public area. To keep you connected, the airport offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi via the _VINCI Airports WiFi network. You will also find a post box (CTT) and mobile device charging points in the waiting areas.

Food and Drink

The food and beverage offering is varied and includes local cuisine restaurants, fast-food chains, cafés and bars. While most outlets are located after the security checkpoint, the public area also provides coffee and snack options. Opening hours generally follow the flight schedule, with venues operating from the first departures in the morning until the last arrival.

Shopping

The departures area features a Duty Free shop offering tax-free products (tobacco, spirits, perfumes). In addition, there are retail outlets specialising in fashion, accessories and technology, as well as a notable selection of regional products from the Algarve, such as traditional sweets, handicrafts and Portuguese wines. Newsagents selling newspapers, books and tobacco are also available at several points throughout the terminal.

Baggage Services

  • Luggage Trolleys: Available free of charge and located in the car parks, the departures hall and the baggage reclaim area.
  • Baggage Wrapping: Protective plastic wrapping services are available in the public departures area, near the check-in counters.
  • Luggage Storage: If you need to store your belongings, 24-hour automated lockers are available. These are located outside the terminal building, next to car park P5.
  • Lost Property: To recover items lost within the terminal, you should contact the Public Security Police (PSP), which manages the inventory of found items (Tel +351 289 800 688).

Other Services

The airport provides nursing rooms and baby care areas located in restrooms throughout the terminal. In case of medical need, there is a first aid post and emergency medical assistance available. You will also find travel agencies and tour operator desks in the arrivals area for additional assistance upon arrival.
