Air New Zealand Domestic Lounge

Located on level 2 of the terminal, this lounge is available from one hour before the departure of the first flight until the last domestic service. It offers a wide selection of refreshments, a bar, high-speed Wi-Fi, workstations with charging points, newspapers, television and showers.

Access: Koru Club members, Airpoints Gold or Elite members, Air New Zealand business class passengers, Star Alliance Gold members, and first or business class passengers travelling with Star Alliance partner airlines.

Air New Zealand Regional Express Lounge

Located on the ground floor, behind the Fly Thru café next to gates 3–14, this lounge is aimed at regional flight passengers. It offers similar services such as a buffet, Wi-Fi and seating areas in a more compact yet comfortable setting.

Access: Koru Club members, Airpoints Gold or Elite members, and Star Alliance Gold members.

Air New Zealand International Lounge

Situated on level 1, after security and immigration control, turn right and pass JR Duty Free. It opens 2 hours and 30 minutes before each scheduled international departure. Services include a buffet with hot and cold food, a bar with local wines, showers, Wi-Fi and work areas.

Access: Koru Club members, Airpoints Gold or Elite members, Air New Zealand and Star Alliance business class passengers, and Star Alliance Gold members.

Manaia Lounge

Located on level 1, opposite boarding gate 29, this lounge is exclusively for international passengers. Its opening hours are aligned with the departure of associated flights. It offers snacks, drinks, air conditioning, television, newspapers, showers and Wi-Fi.

Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass or Diners Club members. Entry is also permitted via direct payment at reception (subject to availability). Maximum stay of 3 hours.

The airport offers a variety of services to meet passengers’ needs during their stay.

Connectivity and communications

The airport provides free Wi-Fi access throughout the terminal. You will also find cash machines from various banks, Travelex currency exchange counters operating in line with flight schedules, public telephones, and retail points for local mobile phone services.

Dining

The dining offer is varied and mainly concentrated on level 1. Passengers can find full-service restaurants, speciality cafés, local wine bars, and fast food outlets. Some venues adjust their opening hours to accommodate early morning departures and late-night arrivals.

Shopping

In the international area, both in arrivals and in the departures zone, there are duty-free shops. In addition, there are retail outlets offering fashion items, merino wool products, jewellery, electronics, books and magazines. For last-minute needs, convenience shops and pharmacies are available in public areas.

Baggage

Baggage trolleys: These are free of charge and available throughout the terminal and in the car parks.

Protective luggage wrapping and storage: Luggage storage and wrapping services are available at Relay, located in the check-in hall.

Lost property: The lost property office is located on the ground floor, behind the Air New Zealand check-in counters. It is open Monday to Friday during office hours. To report a lost item, it is recommended to complete the official online form.

Traveller facilities

Showers: Available in the check-in areas, international departures and international arrivals. You must bring your own toiletries.

Prayer room: The airport provides a prayer room available to all passengers.

Children’s entertainment: Play areas and activities for children, such as table tennis tables, a public piano, and the P.A.W.S (Pups Assisting With Stress) therapy dog programme at scheduled times.

Meetings and conferences

The airport does not have its own conference rooms. However, the Novotel Christchurch Airport hotel, located next to the terminal, offers facilities for meetings and events.
