The airport is located in the municipality of Saint-Louis, in the south of the Alsace region, 8 km (5 miles) northwest of Basel, 25 km (15.5 miles) southeast of Mulhouse and 70 km (45 miles) southwest of Fribourg.

Parking services at Basel airport (BSL)

There are several parking areas open 24 hours a day on both the French and Swiss sides. Motorbikes and bicycles can be parked free of charge in F1 or S1. In front of the terminal, there is a passenger drop-off and pick-up area which is free of charge for 20 minutes and has charging stations for electric vehicles (maximum stay: 4 hours). French sector:
Short stays - F1 is covered and located under the terminal; F3 is an outdoor car park 200 metres from the terminal.
Long stays - F4 is covered and located 300 metres away; F5 is located 300 metres from the terminal and F6 is 500 metres away, both uncovered.

Swiss sector:
Short stays - S1 is covered and located underneath the terminal; S2 is open-air and adjacent to S1.
Long stays - Uncovered car parks. S4 is located 700 metres from the terminal; S12 is 300 metres; S13 is 500 metres.
