Stockholm Arlanda Airport, opened on April 1, 1962, is the most important in Sweden and one of the largest in Europe. It operates with domestic and international flights to the main destinations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Northern Africa and North America.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 2 and 5 for international flights, and terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights. Open 24 hours a day and connected through free trains and shuttle buses. (All domestic traffic has temporarily moved to Terminal 5. International traffic departs and arrives at both Terminal 2 and Terminal 5).

The airport is located 40 km (25 miles) to the north of Stockholm and 31 km (19 miles) southeast from Uppsala.

Contact your tour operator or airline in advance if you should require special assistance or wheelchairs. Passengers with reduced mobility are entitled to escort services through the airport and the passport and customs controls. There are reserved parking spaces, elevators, ramps, accessible restrooms and telephones, tactile flooring and induction loops. Unaccompanied minors between 5 and 11 years old will be escorted through the security checkpoint, the customs and passport controls, and supervised during the flight.
