 Passenger Guide

Toronto Pearson International Airport, opened on August 29, 1939, is the most important in Canada and one of the busiest in the world. It serves the Toronto area, the entire Ontario province and most of the country. It operates with domestic flights and numerous international destinations throughout the globe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Open 24 hours a day. The Terminal Link train operates around the clock every 4-8 minutes and offers free transportation between the terminals, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, ALT Hotel, Viscount Station and the Value Park parking lots. Stops are located on level 5 of the Terminal 1 garage and the bridge between Terminal 3 and the Sheraton Gateway Hotel.

Annual passenger traffic: 34.7 million passengers went through it in 2022.

Picking up and dropping off

For quick visits, take advantage of the free cell phone waiting area or the curbside pick-up and drop-off sector. When your friends and family arrive at Pearson Airport, you can be right there to greet them.

Cell Phone Waiting Area
You can wait comfortably inside your car for that text or call from your arriving Pearson traveller in the Pearson Cell Phone Waiting Area. It€™s free to use for up to 45 minutes, but you must turn off your vehicle and stay with it at all times.

Curbside pick-up or drop-off
For quick pick-ups or drop-offs, you may stop briefly outside the Arrivals and Departure areas at both terminals. Note that waiting is not allowed here or on the roads leading to both terminals.

Designated accessible drop-off locations
Accessible drop-off locations are available at the Departures level of each terminal and offer a variety of features to assist individuals travelling with wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Express park in T1

Short term parking. This is the best option if you need more time to wait for friends or family at Terminal 1. Covered parking directly connected to the terminal, allowing for an efficient visit. Choose this option for stays of up to 3 hours.

As you approach Terminal 1, go to the Departures level. The entrance to the parking garage is on your left. Use the two right-hand lanes for Express Park.

Daily Park

Available at T1 and T3. Park in a covered garage that is connected to the terminal via a climate-controlled walkway. Whether for business or leisure travel, Daily Park Garage offers you a comfortable parking experience.

As you approach Terminal 1, go to the Departures level. The entrance to the parking garage is on your left. To access Daily Park, use the three left-hand lanes.

For Terminal 3, stay in the far left-hand lane and follow signs to the garage as you approach the terminal.

Know exactly where you€™ll park and skip circling the garage looking for a spot. Preferred Daily covered parking allows you to access the terminal with ease from a reserved location.

Directions
As you approach Terminal 1, go to the Arrivals level and follow signs to the car park. Continue to the second entrance. Enter through the Daily Park and, after scanning your reservation, follow the signs to level 3 e4.

As you approach Terminal 3, go towards the Arrivals level and follow the golden-coloured signs. Enter the garage through the designated entry gate.

Express Valet at Terminal 1

Premium economy valet parking.
Forgo your hunt for a parking spot - just drive into the T1 garage to drop off your vehicle and let us find a spot. You are just a quick walk into the terminal and your vehicle remains in a covered garage while you travel.

Directions
As you approach Terminal 1, go to the Departures level. The entrance to the parking garage is on your left. To access Express Valet, approach the Express Park entry lanes and head to the area marked €œPre-booked Valet Only.€

Once parked, enter the lobby and proceed to the Valet Care Customer Service Desk on the far left. Present your reservation confirmation and keys to the agent.

Value park garage

With economical reserved parking, you can skip circling the lot looking for a spot. Park on airport property in an uncovered lot that is just steps to the complimentary Terminal Link train.

They are available throughout the Departures area of Terminals 1 and 3.

Accessible toilets and changing rooms

All washrooms at Pearson have a wheelchair-accessible toilet. Each terminal also has an accessible changing room with an accessible toilet and shower.

Aira is an app that uses technology and human assistance to enable those with sight loss the choice to navigate the airport independently.

Arranging for wheelchair and mobility assistance

Wheelchair and mobility assistance is provided by your airline and should be prearranged with the airline directly at least 48 hours prior to travel. Self-service wheelchairs are also available.

BlindSquare

BlindSquare is a self-voicing GPS-based iOS app that uses Smart Beacons to enable those with sight loss greater independence as they navigate a domestic departure from Terminal 1.

Service animals and guide dogs are welcome in our terminals. Pet relief areas are available in both terminals for all travelling animals.

Teletypewriter (TTY) devices are available on all levels of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, as well as all Terminal Link train stations.

Therapy dogs

Part of our Welcome Team Volunteer Program, St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog teams walk the airport to bring enjoyment and help ease anxiety for passengers who find travelling stressful.
