Lounges, facilities and services at Shanghai Hongqiao airport

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport offers a wide variety of lounges distributed across both terminals, designed to provide comfort for both domestic and international travellers. Most of these spaces include dining services, relaxation areas and business facilities.

Terminal 1

• Air China Premium Lounge: Located on the fourth floor of the departures area. Open from 7:15 am to 8:00 pm. Offers snacks, beverages, air conditioning, television and newspapers. Access is available to Air China Platinum, Gold or Silver members, first-class or business-class passengers travelling with Air China or Star Alliance airlines, and Star Alliance Gold members.
• China Eastern Airlines V01 International Lounge: Situated on the fourth floor, after the security checkpoints at the end of the corridor. Open from 6:00 am until the departure of the last flight. Features beds, shoe-shining service, showers, Wi-Fi, conference facilities and refreshments. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Access available through Priority Pass, LoungeKey or Diners Club memberships.
• VIP Lounge V03: Located on the fourth floor of Building A, open from 6:00 am until the last flight. Includes television, newspapers, magazines and Wi-Fi. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Access with Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass or Diners Club.
• VIP Lounge No. 6: Located to the left of Entrance 5 and operating from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm. Offers refreshments, computers and air conditioning. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Access with Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass or Diners Club.

Terminal 2

• Air China Domestic Lounge (V3 and V8): Lounge V3 is located on the third floor of the departures area and V8 above Gate 36. Both operate from 6:00 am until the last flight. Facilities include hot meals, relaxation areas, massages and business centres. Access for Air China and Star Alliance premium-class passengers.
• China Eastern Airlines (V2, V23, V28): Located near Gates 40, 56 and 61 respectively. Lounge V28 opens from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm, while the others operate from 4:45 am until the last flight. They offer relaxation areas, snacks, beverages and Wi-Fi. Access for China Eastern business-class passengers and SkyTeam Elite Plus members.
• China Southern Sky Pearl Lounge V26: Situated on the third floor, to the right of the security checkpoints. Open from 6:20 am until the last flight. Features massage chairs, luggage storage, snacks and power outlets for devices. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Access with DragonPass, Sky Pearl Silver/Gold members and China Southern premium passengers.
• Juneyao Air V6 Lounge: Located opposite Gate 38, open from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm. Includes showers, a children's area, luggage storage and newspapers. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Access with Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, Diners Club and Star Alliance Gold members.
• V1 VIP Lounge: Situated opposite Gate 26 on the second floor. Available from 5:30 am until the last flight. Maximum stay: 2 hours. Offers Wi-Fi, television and snacks. Access with Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass or Diners Club.

The airport offers comprehensive infrastructure designed to meet the needs of the modern traveller, combining technological services with traditional assistance facilities.

Wi-Fi: The airport provides free internet access. To connect, passengers must authenticate using a Chinese mobile phone number (SMS reception required) or by scanning their passport at the automated self-service kiosks located throughout the terminals to obtain an access code.

Financial services: Both terminals feature cash machines accepting international cards. There are bank branches (such as ICBC and Bank of China) open from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, as well as currency exchange counters available from 7:00 am until the arrival of the last flight.

Dining

The dining offer is varied across both terminals, with a greater concentration in the departures area of Terminal 2. You will find local cuisine restaurants, international fast-food chains (such as McDonald's, Burger King and Subway), cafés (Starbucks, Costa Coffee) and tea houses. Most venues operate from 6:00 am until the departure of the last flight.

Shopping

Terminal 1 houses duty-free shops specialising in spirits, tobacco, perfumes and cosmetics. Terminal 2 mainly features luxury brands, fashion, accessories, electronics and souvenir shops. There are also convenience stores (FamilyMart and Lawson) for last-minute purchases, open during extended hours.

Baggage

• Trolleys: Available free of charge in boarding areas, baggage reclaim halls and car parks.
• Baggage wrapping: Plastic wrapping service located next to Gates 2 and 6 in Terminal 1 (from 4:15 am until the last flight) and next to Gate 4 and Check-in Island B in Terminal 2 (from 5:00 am until the last flight).
• You may store your belongings at the counters located opposite Gate 5 in T1 (7:00 am to 8:30 pm) and opposite Gate 1 in T2 (7:00 am to 11:00 pm).

Other Services

The airport features first aid rooms, designated smoking areas, entertainment zones for children, breastfeeding rooms equipped for infant care, changing rooms and postal services. In Terminal 2 there are mobile phone kiosks where local SIM cards may be purchased upon presentation of a passport.

The “One-Stop Service Centers”, located in the international arrivals hall of Terminal 1, provide assistance to international travellers in areas such as payments, tourism, communication and transport, including currency exchange, SIM cards and multilingual guides.
