Pristina Airport is a modern but compact terminal that operates 24 hours a day. Although it is possible to stay overnight in the building while waiting for early-morning flights, sleeping facilities are limited and commercial services are significantly reduced during night-time hours.

Where to rest

Most seating in the public and boarding areas consists of metal benches with fixed armrests, making it difficult to lie down. Many travellers choose to rest on the floor, so it is highly recommended to bring a sleeping bag or thermal blankets, as well as an inflatable pillow, to insulate against the cold tiles. The second level is generally quieter and less crowded than the arrivals area on the ground floor.

VIP Lounge: Although the 17/02 Lounge offers comfortable seating and a private environment, it closes at 11:00 pm, so it is not a suitable option for staying overnight.

Baggage handling

Left luggage: There are no luggage storage services or lockers within the terminal. You must keep your belongings with you at all times. It is recommended to use locks and keep valuables in a small bag secured close to your body while resting.

Food and supplies

Most food outlets and convenience shops close after the departure of the last flight of the day (around midnight) and reopen around 4:00 am. It is essential to bring your own snacks and drinks, as vending machine availability is limited in the public areas during the night.

Safety and environment

The terminal is under continuous surveillance with security cameras, providing a relatively safe environment. However, security staff or police may carry out night patrols and ask to see your passport or flight itinerary to confirm that you are a transit passenger.

Hotels

Although there are no hotels located within the terminal grounds, the airport’s proximity to the capital and surrounding towns means there are several accommodation options just a few minutes away, many of which offer shuttle services for added convenience for travellers.

• Best Western Hotel Galla: Located just 500 metres from the terminal, this is the most convenient option for passengers with early-morning flights, as it can be reached on foot within a few minutes.
• Madigan's Hotel & Restaurant: Known for its 24-hour restaurant service and its proximity to the main road connecting to the airport.
• Vera Hotel-Villa: Offers a quiet and welcoming setting, ideal for travellers seeking a more homely and personalised atmosphere during their stay.
• Motel Paris: A budget-friendly and practical option for those wishing to stay close to the commercial area of Fushë Kosovë.
• Andoena Resort: An excellent choice for longer stays or relaxed stopovers, thanks to its resort-style facilities including spacious gardens and a swimming pool.
