Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Tahiti Faa'a Airport is open 24 hours, allowing you to stay overnight if you have an early morning flight. However, keep in mind that the air conditioning can sometimes be quite cold, so it's advisable to have a jacket handy.
Where to rest: While options are limited, you will find some long benches around the airport, though they are made of metal and may not be very comfortable. In the International Terminal, there is also a VIP lounge with additional amenities, but it closes at night. Alternatively, there is accommodation located just across from the airport for those seeking more comfort.
Baggage: Luggage storage in the International Terminal, from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Eating and drinking: Food outlets close at night. Have some snacks prepared in advance.
Restrooms: Showers inside the VIP lounge, but not in the public toilets.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
