Transfer to/from - Beijing Capital airport (PEK)

Metro

The Capital Airport Express train is the fastest way to reach the city centre. The service connects Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 with the stations of Sanyuanqiao, Dongzhimen and the Beixinqiao terminus. This route provides connections with Beijing Underground lines 2, 5, 10 and 13.

Frequency and operating hours: Trains run approximately every 10 minutes. From Terminal 3, the service operates from 6:20 am to 10:50 pm, while from Terminal 2 it runs from 6:35 am to 11:10 pm. Journey time to Dongzhimen is around 20–30 minutes.

Station locations:

• Terminal 2: B2 level of the car park building.
• Terminal 3: Level 2 of Car Park 3 (GTC).

Buses

The airport is served by several urban bus routes connecting key points in Beijing, such as Beijing Railway Station, Fangzhuang, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Zhongguancun and Wangfujing.

Ticket purchase: Ticket counters are located in Terminal 2 (Level 1, near Gate 11) and Terminal 3 (Level 1, next to Gate 1). Services generally operate from 5:00–6:00 am until midnight, although some night routes continue until the arrival of the last flight.

Regional services: Long-distance routes are available to nearby cities such as Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Langfang, Tangshan and Baoding. Timetables vary according to destination, with departures spread throughout the day.

Community Buses

For local transfers to the Shunyi district, passengers may use the Airport Community Bus. These routes connect the airport with residential areas and shopping centres within the district, while also providing access to additional regional metro lines.

Main routes: Routes 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 11 and 13 serve destinations such as Nanpingli, Shunyi Hospital, Garden City and the China International Exhibition Centre. Ticket counters are located outside Gates 1 to 3 in T2 and outside Gate 1 in T3 (Level 1).

Taxis and Ride-Hailing Services

Official taxis are available 24 hours a day. Travel time to central Beijing ranges from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. It is essential to use only taxis from the official ranks in order to avoid scams.

Official taxi ranks:

• Terminal 2: Outside Gates 5 to 9.
• Terminal 3: Exit B1.

Important: It is advisable to carry the destination address written in Chinese characters. Payment must be made in local currency (RMB) or via mobile payment apps (Alipay/WeChat Pay); foreign currencies are not accepted. A night surcharge applies for journeys between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am.

Ride-hailing services: Platforms such as Didi operate at the airport. Designated pick-up points for these vehicles are located on the first floor of Car Park 2, south-east side, for Terminal 2, and on level B2 of Car Park 3, Zone H, for Terminal 3.
