Manaus Eduardo Gomes International Airport, opened on March 26, 1976, is the most important in the state of Amazonas and one of the busiest in Brazil. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in the American Continent.

The airport has a bank (Wednesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am), ATMs, currency exchange bureau (6:00 am to 10:00 pm) and free Wi-Fi access. The Harmony Lounge is found to the left of the boarding area, in Terminal 1, and opens from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am; the maximum stay is 3 hours and it offers air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, TV, snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi, luggage storage (access with Priority Pass or Diners Club membership, or through online booking).

Food and Drinks- Most options are found inside Terminal 1, with bars, coffee shops, fast food outlets, restaurants and ice-cream stores. Many of them open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Terminal 1 has convenience stores, handicrafts, jewellery, clothing, footwear, books, sweets, toys. Duty-free items in the International Departures Hall and the check-in area.
Baggage- Secure plastic wrapping in the Domestic Departures area of Terminal 1, available around the clock. Lost and found office on the second floor, Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Tel +55 92 3652 1667).

Public and private transportation

Bus - The Airport Bus Service (Tel +55 92 984 444 412) travels to the main city hotels between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm and from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am. It departs from in front of the Arrivals area of Terminal 1.
SINETRAM (Tel +55 92 2123 0700 / 0709) operates line 59 to the city's bus terminal (Terminal Bairro) and Cidade Nova, route 306 to the terminal and Praça da Matriz, and bus 641 to Cidade Nova and Jorge Teixeira. Routes

Taxi - There are vehicles from Rádio Táxi Manaus (Tel +55 92 3652 1459) and Vitotáxi (Tel +55 92 3652 1154 / 1544 / 1568) 24 hours a day opposite the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1, and from São José Táxi (Tel +55 92 3652 1260) next to the Arrivals area of Terminal 2, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Journey time to the city centre is around 20 minutes.
