Kazan International Airport, opened on September 15, 1979, serves the Tatarstan region. It operates with domestic flights and international flights mainly to countries from the ex-USSR, in addition to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Number of Terminals - 3 - Terminals 1A, 1 and 2 (business and VIP flights), open 24 hours a day. The former are connected to each other, while Terminal 2 is located within walking distance.

In the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1А there are counters from Avis (Tel +7 937 623 3343) and Hertz (Tel +7 843 279 3334) that operate from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Bus - Line 197 operates from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm and runs to Lake Zayachye, Bolshaya Krasnaya, Yuzhny, Prospekt Pobedy and the city's agroindustrial park. Travel time is 20 minutes.
Train - The electric train service from Sodrugestvo (Tel +7 843 202 2800) links the airport with Kazan Central Station in about 30 minutes, with departures within 6:35 am and 8:15 pm. Intermediate stops include Vakhitovo, Berezovaya Roshcha, Kombinat, Yubileynaya and Stolbishche.
Taxi - The official airport operator is Taxi Kazan City (Tel +7 843 500 0005). The company has a desk in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1A. The trip to the city centre takes 40 minutes.
