Parking
Viracopos International Airport features an extensive and modern parking infrastructure, primarily focused on its Garage Building. This system is designed to offer quick and protected access to the passenger terminal.
Garage Building (Covered)
This is the primary option for travelers. It is a multi-level building located directly in front of the terminal.
Access: Connected to the main building via a covered pedestrian walkway, allowing you to reach the check-in counters in a few minutes without being exposed to rain or sun.
Grace Period (Drop-off):
There is a 10-minute grace period at no cost. This time is intended exclusively for immediate passenger pick-up and drop-off in the access lanes. If this limit is exceeded, the full rate will be charged.
Payment Methods:
The parking lot features automatic access technology for vehicles equipped with toll Tags (Sem Parar, Veloe, ConectCar, Taggy). Payments can also be made at the self-service kiosks (totems) located on the connection bridge and in the arrivals hall, accepting cash and cards.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Viracopos International Airport (VCP), managed by Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos, features modern and accessible infrastructure that complies with ANAC regulations (Resolution 280). The facilities are designed to facilitate autonomous and safe movement for all passengers.
Reduced Mobility
The terminal features ramps, spacious elevators, moving walkways, adapted restrooms, and accessible telephones in all areas.
Boarding and Disembarking:
Most flights operate via boarding bridges (jet bridges). For remote positions, the airport uses Ambulifts (lift vehicles), ensuring that boarding and disembarking from the aircraft are done without the need to climb stairs.
Requesting Assistance:
Wheelchairs and personal assistance are the responsibility of the airline. It is mandatory to request this service at the time of booking or at least 48 to 72 hours before the flight.
Hidden Disabilities
Sunflower Lanyard: Viracopos promotes the use of the "Sunflower Lanyard." This badge allows staff to discreetly identify passengers with non-visible disabilities (autism, anxiety, dementia), providing them with more patience, support, and guidance during security checks and boarding processes.
Priority by Law
In Brazil, preferential service is a right guaranteed by law. Priority is given in check-in, security screening, and boarding lines to:
- People over 60 years old.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- People with infants (under 2 years old).
- People with reduced mobility or obesity.
Families
The airport offers the Espaço Família (Family Space), equipped with baby changing tables, microwaves, and nursing chairs, located in both the public area and the departure lounge.
