Requirements for Hiring a Vehicle

To hire a car at the airport, the following requirements generally apply:

• Minimum Age: Most companies require the driver to be at least 21 years old. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.
• Valid Driving Licence: A valid driving licence from the country of residence is required. For citizens from outside the European Union, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required along with the original licence.
• Credit Card: It is essential to present a credit card in the name of the main driver for the security deposit. Debit or prepaid cards are usually not accepted.
• Identification Document: A valid passport or identity document.
• Booking: Although not always mandatory, it is recommended to book the vehicle in advance, especially during peak seasons, to ensure availability and better rates.
