Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.

Spending the night at the airport

Venice airport has a small although modern terminal, which can get quite crowdy. The doors of the building will be closed between 0:00 am and 4:00 am, and you won't be able to stay inside if you do not have documents proving you have a flight the next day. The airport is usually cold, so it is best to bring a blanket.

Where to rest: There are few benches, and these are made of wood and uncomfortable. On the other hand, in the Departures area you will find sleeping pods, or you could try the airport VIP lounge, although it closes at night.

Baggage: The left-luggage service operates from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Eating and drinking: At night, only vending machines will be available.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.

Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
