Spending the Night at the Airport

Tenerife South Airport is not designed for passengers to stay overnight comfortably. Although the airport operates 24 hours a day, public access is usually restricted during the night (from 23:00 to 4:00), and only passengers with a boarding pass for an upcoming flight are allowed to enter. We recommend checking your access in advance.

Rest Areas

The terminal environment at night is generally cold, noisy and brightly lit, so we recommend having a blanket or sleeping bag, eye mask, and earplugs or headphones to hand.

• Seats are mainly available in the check-in area and in some food outlets on the first floor.
• Due to the lack of comfortable furniture, many travellers choose to sleep on the floor in quieter areas, such as near the boarding gates, although cleanliness may vary.
• The Montaña Roja VIP Lounge closes at night and the maximum stay allowed is 4 hours, so it is not a viable option for spending the entire night.

The following services remain available during the night:

• Food and Drink: Vending machines with drinks and snacks are available throughout the terminal. Some food outlets have extended hours and even 24-hour service.
• Connectivity: Free and unlimited Wi-Fi access.
• Finance: Cash machines available in the public and restricted areas.
• Prayer Rooms: A chapel is available 24 hours a day.

Important Considerations:

Luggage Storage: There is no left-luggage or baggage storage service in the airport to store your bags overnight.

Hotels: If staying overnight in the terminal is not suitable for you, there are several hotels and guest houses in the vicinity of the airport.
