Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.

Spending the night at the airport

St. Louis airport operates with many flights inside the United States and some international destinations, so there is usually movement during the night. Although the terminals are open 24 hours a day, layover passengers will have to remain in the public area once the security checkpoint closes at night.

Where to rest: A limited number of seats are available, so you will probably have to sleep on the floor. Therefore, it is recommended to have a sleeping bag or blankets. Inside concourse A and Terminal 2, there are a few benches that are more comfortable, but concourse C is often preferred, as it is a little darker and quieter. In the check-in area, you may find a few couches that you can put together to make a bed. Another option is to access the airport's VIP lounges, which provide more amenities, although they close at night. On the other hand, there are numerous hotels in the surroundings, some of them with shuttle services around the clock.

Baggage: There is no luggage storage, so you will have to keep your baggage with you until check-in.

Eating and drinking: The only option available 24 hours a day is The Great American Bagel, in Terminal 1. You can also find vending machines throughout the enclosure.

Wi-Fi: Free for 60 minutes.

Other services open around the clock: ATMs, children's playground, baby changing facilities.
