Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport
Salvador airport operates with several flights and connections both day and night. Therefore, movement is constant, and it is frequent to see many passengers waiting for their flight very early in the morning.
Where to rest: Seats inside the terminal are scarce and have armrests, so be ready to sleep on the floor, having a sleeping bag handy. The observation deck, on the third floor, is the quietest place of the enclosure. On the other hand, if you book a room in advance inside the city, you can arrange your transfer from the airport directly with the hotel.
Baggage: There is no left luggage service available.
Eating and drinking: On both levels of the terminal, some eateries remain open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: Service is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: Currency exchange bureaus, ATMs.
Several hotels can be found close to the airport grounds, and some of them provide courtesy shuttle services for their guests.
