Salvador International Airport (SSA) operates 24 hours a day and maintains a constant flow of passengers due to its role as a connection hub in Northeastern Brazil. This ensures that the terminal does not "close" completely, offering security and basic services during the overnight hours.

Where to rest

Public Areas: Most seats in the terminal have fixed armrests, making it difficult to lie down comfortably. Many passengers choose to rest on the floor in less crowded areas, so bringing a blanket or sleeping bag is recommended. The Food Court (Praça de Alimentação) on the upper level is usually the most popular place to wait, although it can be noisy.

24-Hour VIP Lounges: The best option for a comfortable rest is the Ambaar Club (Airside), located in the departures area. This lounge remains open 24 hours and features showers and sofas, although access via memberships (such as Priority Pass) usually has a 4-hour stay limit.

To rest without the worry of watching your belongings, you can use the luggage storage (lockers) service by Malex.

Food and drinks

Unlike smaller airports, Salvador has establishments that operate around the clock. You will find coffee shops and fast-food outlets open all night in both the public area and the departure lounge.
