Glasgow Prestwick Airport, opened in 1935, is the second air terminal in the city. It operates with low-cost flights to some important destinations in Southern Europe.

The airport is located 51 km (32 miles) southwest from Glasgow.
The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (4:15 am to 8:00 pm), internet kiosks and 2 hours of free Wi-Fi access.

Bus - Express service Western X77 from Stagecoach (Tel +44 141 552 4961) connects the enclosure with Buchanan Street Station, in the city centre, with a trip of 50 minutes, a frequency of 30-60 min and a fare of £6.20. It operates from 6:25 am to 10:40 pm. It also runs to Kilmarnock, Fenwick and Ayr.
Line X99 from Dodds (Tel +44 129 228 8100) heads for Buchanan Station during the night (fare - £14.00).
Train - The station is linked to the terminal through a covered walkway. Four services every hour (two on Sundays) depart from there to Glasgow Central Station, with a journey time of 45 minutes. They operate Mondays through Saturdays between 5:20 am and 11:08 pm and Sundays from 8:50 am to 11:07 pm. Tickets have a cost of £11.64. There are also trains to Waverley Station, in Edinburgh (2 hours journey; £26.67).
Taxi - Streamline Taxis (Tel +44 129 228 4545 / 226 1010 / 247 7000) provides cabs around the clock from outside the terminal. The trip to the city centre takes around 40 minutes.
Avis (Tel +44 344 544 6025) has offices in the Arrivals Hall, operating Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Facilities include reserved spaces inside the car parks, automatic doors, wheelchairs, special seating areas, accessible toilets and induction loops. Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to arrange the proper services with their airline at least 48 hours before their arrival.
