Chubu Centrair International Airport, also known as Central Japan Airport and opened on February 17, 2005, stands on an artificial island and serves the urban area of Nagoya. It is one of Japan's busiest airports and one of the most modern in the world. It operates with some domestic flights and many international destinations in China, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Facilities include adapted restrooms, wide elevators, Braille signage, textured paving blocks, accessible drinking fountains, ramps and reserved spaces on the first floor of the multi-level car parks.
