Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels (NAT)
Possibility to spend the night at Natal airport (NAT), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.
Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Natal International Airport (NAT) remains open 24 hours a day. As a modern and spacious terminal, it offers a safe environment for passengers who need to wait for their flight during the early morning hours, although the furniture is not specifically designed for long-term rest.
Where to rest
Public Areas: Most seats in the terminal have metal armrests, which prevent lying down completely. If you plan to sleep in the public area, it is recommended to bring a blanket or sleeping bag to use on the floor in less crowded corners, as the air conditioning tends to be strong.
VIP Lounges: A major recent advantage is the opening of the Advantage VIP Lounge in the domestic departures area. This space operates 24 hours a day and features more comfortable rest areas, food, and showers, making it the best option for staying overnight if you have access or pay for entry.
Luggage
To rest worry-free, you can store your belongings in the Malex automated lockers.
Location: Public area of the terminal.
Hours: Available 24 hours.
Food and drink
The terminal has establishments that remain open throughout the night to serve passengers in the early hours. You will find coffee shops (such as Deltaexpresso) and fast-food outlets available 24 hours in both the public hall and the departure lounge.
Wi-Fi and Services
Connectivity: Unlike in the past, internet access is now free and unlimited throughout the terminal.
Other 24h services: ATMs, baby hygiene facilities, and the gas station located at the airport entrance.
Nearby accommodation
There are no hotels inside the building. If you prefer to sleep in a bed, you will need to move to the guesthouses in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante (about 5-10 km away) or travel to the city.
