Natal airport (NAT)

Natal - Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport, also known as São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport and opened on May 31, 2014, has replaced the old Augusto Severo Airport. It serves the metropolitan area of Natal, the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, and it is the newest and one of the most important airports in Brazil. It operates with domestic and international flights in Argentina and Portugal.

The airport is located in the town of São Gonçalo do Amarante, 40 km (25 miles) to the west of Natal.

You can request services from Uber at the airport. Follow the directions in the app to meet your driver, as pick-up points can change.


Trampolim da Vitória (Tel +55 84 3343 5151) is responsible for the intercity transport of passengers between the capital, the cities of Parnamirim, Macaíba and São Gonçalo do Amarante, and the airport. Line R travels from the enclosure to the São Gonçalo do Amarante Terminal and Shopping Midway Mall in Natal between 4:20 am and 10:45 pm. Timetables and fares

On the other hand, Only Transfer (Tel +55 84 999 324 067) provides private or shared transportation to several tourist spots in the surroundings, such as Ponta Negra, Praia de Pipa, Praia de Touros, São Miguel do Gostoso, Baia Formosa and Genipabu.


CoopCon (Tel +55 84 3278 3020 / 3343 6429 / 998 544 259) operates a large fleet of vehicles at the airport. The service can be requested 24 hours a day in the Domestic Arrivals Hall, on the ground floor. Travel time to Natal is 45 minutes.
