Natal - Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport, also known as São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport and opened on May 31, 2014, has replaced the former Augusto Severo Airport. It serves the metropolitan area of Natal, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, and is the newest and one of the most important airports in Brazil. It operates domestic and international flights in Argentina and Portugal.
