Spending the Night at the Airport

Marseille Airport is open 24 hours a day and is generally considered a safe and relatively quiet place to spend the night, especially if you have an early morning flight or a long layover. The experience may vary depending on passenger traffic and the area where you choose to rest.

Where to Rest

• Airport staff often direct passengers to a specific rest area in Terminal 1 (possibly on the second level of Hall A, although this may vary). In this area or in other terminal zones, benches can be found, some without armrests, which makes it easier to lie down.
• Look for carpeted or less busy areas for greater comfort.
• Power outlets and USB ports are scattered throughout the terminals for charging electronic devices.
• VIP Lounges: Although VIP lounges offer greater comfort, they usually close at night and have a maximum stay limited to 4 hours. They are not an option for staying overnight.
• Nearby Hotels: For guaranteed rest, the best option is to book a room in one of the hotels located near the airport. Several offer shuttle service.

Luggage

• Luggage storage offices operate with limited hours. If you plan to spend the night, you will need to stay with your baggage until your airline’s check-in services become available.
• Make sure to keep your belongings safe at all times.

• During the night, food and drink options are very limited. Most establishments close.
• You can find vending machines with snacks and drinks in various locations in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
• It is advisable to bring your own snacks and drinks if you plan to spend the night at the airport.

• The airport offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi throughout its facilities, which is useful for staying connected.
