Seymour Airport, also known as Galápagos Ecological Airport, is located on the island of Baltra, in the archipelago of the Galápagos Islands, belonging to Ecuador. It only operates with domestic flights to and from Quito and Guayaquil and serves Puerto Ayora. To travel to Galápagos, you will need the transit control card (TCT) and the migration card. This document can be obtained at the Special Regime for Galápagos Governing Council offices, located in the Quito and Guayaquil airports, after presenting the proper identification, electronic booking and payment of USD20.00 (no cost for passengers less than 2 years old). Once at the airport, you will have to pay a fee to enter the protected area, requested by the Galápagos National Park. The amount depends on the visitor's nationality, residence and age.

The airport is situated 36 km (22 miles) to the north of Puerto Ayora, capital and main city of the island of Santa Cruz, part of the archipelago of the Galápagos.

Bus

Once you got to the airport and collected your luggage, go to the platforms located outside the terminal to board a bus that will take you to the dock situated on the lower part of the island, next to the Itabaca Canal, which separates Seymour and Santa Cruz islands. Barge from Baltra to Santa Cruz Island

Boarded at the dock. The ferry operated by the government has a cost of USD1.00, while the private, smaller boat has a cost of USD2.00. The trip takes 5-10 minutes.

Upon arriving at Santa Cruz, besides the buses, there is the option to request a vehicle from Taxi Express (Tel +593 989 639 714), with a cost of USD25.00 to the capital, Puerto Ayora. Travel time is 45-60 minutes.
