Strigino Airport, opened on July 23, 1923, and also known as Nizhny Novgorod International Airport, serves the city of the same name. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in Europe. As the city was one of the seats for the 2018 World Cup, it was recently remodeled.

The airport is found on the outskirts of the Avtozavodsky District, 16 km (10 miles) to the southwest of Nizhny Novgorod.See Map
The airport has ATMs, post office and free Wi-Fi access. On the second floor of the terminal there are two Business Lounges, one for domestic flights and another for international flights, open 24 hours a day; the maximum stay is 3 hours and they offer air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, telephones, fax, TV, refreshments, drinks, Wi-Fi, computers (access with Priority Pass or DragonPass membership).
Food and Drinks- There are coffee shops open around the clock in the public area and the Departures Hall.
Shopping- Souvenirs, newspapers, magazines and books, minimarkets.

Bus - There are several services that depart from the terminal. Tickets can be acquired from the driver. Line 11 runs to Ulitsa Druzhaeva. Bus 46 travels to Kuznechiha, while route 56 goes to Krasnoe Sormovo.
Taxi - The official airport operator is Taxi Yandex (Tel +7 831 200 0400). The trip to the city centre takes 30 minutes.

P1 - For short stays, directly opposite the terminal. The first 30 minutes have no charge.
P2 - Parking lot situated behind the previous one, for long stays.
If you should require special assistance because of a disabilty, or in the case of the elderly, minors or pregnant women, coordinate the proper services with your airline at least 48 hours before your flight. Unaccompanied minors between 2 and 12 years old will be supervised by the airline crew.
