Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.

Florianópolis International Airport (FLN) stands out for its modernity and cleanliness following the opening of the new terminal. It remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers to stay overnight, although the flow of people decreases significantly during the early morning hours.

Where to rest

Public Areas (Terminal): Inside the main building, the air conditioning is usually strong, so bringing warm clothing is essential. Seating is limited and most chairs have armrests, making it difficult to lie down. The upper floor (Check-in) tends to be quieter than the arrivals level.

Boulevard 14/32: This covered plaza in front of the terminal has benches and rest areas. It is a pleasant environment, but since it is an open space (albeit covered), temperatures can drop at night, and there may be ambient noise or events until late.

VIP Lounge: The Lounge Florianópolis offers greater comfort, but is not open all night (closes at 9:00 pm and reopens at 4:00 am), so it is not an option for sleeping through the night.

Luggage

For greater convenience, you can store your belongings in the Malex automated lockers.
Location: At Boulevard 14/32 (outdoor area).
Hours: Available 24 hours.

Food and drink

Nighttime food options are limited.
24h Options: Generally, the Riviera Café (located on the Arrivals level) and the Living Heineken establishment (at Boulevard 14/32) remain open 24 hours, although this may vary depending on the day of the week and the season.

Showers

There are no free public showers in the terminal. The only showers available are inside the VIP lounge, which requires payment or membership and is limited to its operating hours.

Wi-Fi and Charging

The airport offers free high-speed internet connection. Additionally, you will find numerous charging points (outlets and USB) distributed throughout the terminal and on the benches at Boulevard 14/32.

Nearby accommodation

If you prefer uninterrupted rest, there are no hotels on the premises, but there are several inns in the neighboring Carianos district (such as Aeropouso or Tapera) less than 1 km away.

Hotels

Florianópolis International Airport does not have hotels inside the terminal. However, being located in the Carianos neighborhood and very close to the Campeche area, there are numerous lodging options such as inns (pousadas) and guest houses within a very short distance (some even accessible on foot).

For international hotel chains or higher category options, it is necessary to travel to the city center (approx. 15-20 min) or to the beach areas.
