Florianópolis - Hercílio Luz International Airport, opened on June 21, 1927, is the most important in the state of Santa Catarina. It operates with several domestic flights and international destinations in South America. The airport was rebuilt and reopened in October 2019 and expanded to accommodate up to 8 million passengers a year.
