Edinburgh Airport, opened on March, 1916, is one of the largest in Scotland and one of the busiest in the United Kingdom. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Airlink 100 runs a 24 hours service between the airport and Waverley Bridge, with a frequency of 10 minutes, a trip of 30 min. and a fare of £4.50.
Skylink 200 service runs between 4:55 am and 0:00 am to Clemiston, Blackhall, Drylaw, Muirhouse, Newhaven and Leith (50 min.)
Skylink 300 travels to the city centre and Ocean Terminal, stopping at RBS World Headquarters, Scottish Parliament and Palace of Holyroodhouse (60 min.)
Line 21A runs from Monday to Saturday every hour headed for Broxburn, Uphall, Livingston, Bathgate and Fauldhouse. Tickets have a cost of £3.40. Bus N22 travels between the enclosure and Ocean Terminal via South Gyle from 0:45 am to 4:15 am, with a frequency of 30 min. The trip takes 28 min. and costs £3.00.
Jet 747 (Tel +44 138 366 0880) runs to Fife, stopping at the Ratho, South Queensferry and Ferrytoll stations, and then goes to Inverkeithing and Halbeath. The journey takes 25 min. with a £6.50 fare. It operates around the clock with a 30 and 60 min frequency..
Citylink bus (Tel +44 871 266 3333) travels to downtown Glasgow (1 hour trip; £12.00) every 30 min., with stops at Ratho, Newbridge East, Harthill and Maxim Park.

Tram - Services from Edinburgh Trams (Tel +44 131 475 0177) between the enclosure and the city centre, with stops at Ingliston, Gogarburn, Edinburgh Gateway, Gyle, Edinburgh Park, Bankhead, Saughton, Balgreen, Murrayfield, Haymarket, West End, Princes Street, St. Andrew Square and York Place. They operate every 7 minutes from 6:18 am to 10:48 pm, with a journey of 30 min. and a fare of £5.50.

Train - The closest stations are in Edinburgh Gateway and Edinburgh Park, connected to the enclosure through trams. Trains depart from there to Fife, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling, Dunblane and Northern and Central Scotland. At Waverley Station, in the city centre and linked through a bus service, you can board trains to Manchester, London, Birmingham, Leeds and other destinations throughout Scotland and the United Kingdom. Taxi - Vehicles from City Cabs (Tel +44 131 656 0830) available on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. Travel time to downtown Edinburgh is approximately 25 minutes.

Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to inform their airline or travel agency about their needs at least 48 hours in advance. Inside the enclosure there are designated spaces in all car parks, wheelchairs, ambulifts to board the plane, ramps, elevators, accessible telephones and restrooms, induction loops.
